This album project was created to demonstrate my typography and conceptual skills. The concept was to create an album that would support a specific cause, as well as make you feel a certain emotion. This album was to bring awareness to mental health struggles and connect with a non profit that supports that cause. Each song and lyric was carefully curated to correlate with the topic at hand. The imagery was created by hand and then scanned into the computer digitally. The style was meant to feel like coming back to yourself, “back to your roots”, and healing yourself, through whatever emotions or mental health struggle you may be facing. The first image is of a figure alone, and once the album opens, the second image shows two figures hugging each other, to show the imagery of “coming back to oneself”. There were also various merch items created to correlate with the album to also support the cause and sales of the album.
